Frequently Asked Questions

Before sending an email, please check if your question is answered below. This is the fastest way to get help!

Q: Can I use your photos on my blog or social media?

A: We are flattered that you want to share! You are welcome to use ONE photo from Velvety Recipes on your own website or round-up post, provided that you include a clear link back to the original recipe on our site. You may NOT republish the recipe instructions (ingredients list and steps) or more than one photo without our prior written permission.

Q: Can I substitute ingredients in your baking recipes?

A: Baking is a science! We test our recipes (especially the Congo Bars and Pecan Breads) specifically with the ingredients listed. Substituting ingredients like flour types, sugar types, or fat sources can drastically change the texture and result. We recommend sticking to the recipe for the first try.

Q: Can I freeze the "Million Dollar" casseroles?

A: Yes! Most of our hearty dinner casseroles freeze beautifully. We usually include specific freezing and reheating instructions in the "Chef's Tips" section of the recipe card. Generally, you can freeze them unbaked for up to 3 months.

Q: Do you accept guest posts?

A: Currently, we are not accepting guest posts. All of our content is created in-house by our team (Chloe, Marcus, Jackson, and Sophia) to ensure it meets our strict testing standards.

Q: Why did my recipe turn out different than the photos?

A: Several factors can affect the outcome: the type of oven you use, the humidity in your kitchen, or even the brand of ingredients. We recommend using a kitchen scale for baking recipes for the most accuracy.
