- 0.5 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
- 0.5 tsp dried oregano
Instructions:
- Pat the chicken drumsticks extremely dry using paper towels to ensure maximum crispiness.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the baking powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, kosher salt, black pepper, and dried oregano.
- Drizzle the chicken drumsticks with avocado oil and toss to coat evenly.
- Toss the oiled chicken in the spice blend until every crevice is thoroughly coated. Allow the chicken to sit at room temperature for 10 minutes to allow the dry-brine effect to occur.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the drumsticks in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not touching for optimal airflow.
- Air fry for 20 minutes, flipping the drumsticks halfway through the cooking time, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F and the skin is golden brown and shattering.
