Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1.5 cups granulated white sugar
  • 6 cups cold filtered water
  • 2 fresh lemons, sliced for garnish
  • 4 cups crushed ice

Instructions:

  1. Before cutting, roll room-temperature lemons firmly against the counter to break internal membranes. Halve and juice the lemons until you have 1.5 cups of juice.
  2. Pour the fresh lemon juice through a fine-mesh strainer into a large pitcher to remove seeds and excess pulp.
  3. Add the granulated sugar directly to the lemon juice. Stir vigorously for 2 minutes until the mixture looks cloudy and thick.
  4. Pour 6 cups of cold filtered water into the pitcher and stir again until fully combined.
  5. Serve immediately over crushed ice and garnish with fresh lemon slices.
