Ingredients:

  • 113g unsalted butter, melted
  • 200g granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 5ml vanilla extract
  • 30g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 65g all-purpose flour
  • 1.5g salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides.
  2. Whisk the melted butter and granulated sugar together until combined.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, whisking vigorously for 1-2 minutes until the mixture becomes pale and slightly fluffy.
  4. Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt.
  5. Using a rubber spatula, gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until no streaks of flour remain.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 20-22 minutes until the edges are set and slightly dull, but the center still has a slight wobble when shaken.
  8. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before lifting them out using the parchment paper.
