- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 tbsp arrowroot starch
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup certified gluten-free rolled oats
- 3/4 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup coconut sugar
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced pears, maple syrup, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, starch, and vanilla. Toss gently until evenly coated.
- Pour the pear mixture into a 9x9 inch baking dish, spreading it into an even layer.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the gluten-free oats, almond flour, coconut sugar, and salt.
- Add the cold, cubed butter to the dry ingredients. Use fingertips or a fork to work the butter in until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs with pea-sized lumps.
- Stir in the sliced almonds.
- Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the pear filling.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes until the fruit juices are bubbling around the edges and the topping is golden brown.
